Who We Are at Healthy Healing Horizons

Nikki Karlen
Founder & Owner
15+ Years Masters in Nursing
With a background and experience in nearly every area of nursing, I can see clients of any age! If it's a specific symptom you're wanting to reverse, a lab you want to improve, or just living a healthier life- reach out! I'm more than happy to share more about what I can do or help with.
This journey started with a passion to help and care for people after my own health struggles and more traditional approaches of medicine. It's grown into changing my own life, as well as the life of others by focusing on the root cause and not just addressing symptoms.
Besides being passionate about all things natural health, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, hunting, cooking, yoga and just about anything outdoors.

Thanks for visiting our space! Dixie and I look forward to meeting you."

Aly Thums
Practioner
8+ Years Registered Nurse
After working in surgical, primary care, and wound care, I was struggling with my own health. I was doing everything “right,” yet I felt constantly fatigued and off — while my labs kept coming back normal.
That experience led me to start looking deeper.
When I began focusing on root causes — supporting my gut, balancing hormones, and regulating my nervous system — things finally started to shift.
I’m so excited to bring more knowledge, tools and options for clients to Healthy Healing Horizons by working specifically on hormone balance and gut health.
Outside of work, I love nature, motocross, gardening, learning to can my own food, and being a dedicated dog mom.

Spencer Hager
IV Infusion Practitioner
My perspective on health is shaped not only by my medical training, but also by my personal journey. After being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, I spent years trying to manage it through conventional medicine alone. Over time, I began exploring more holistic approaches and discovered the powerful role they could play in managing my condition and improving overall wellness. That experience inspired me to take a more integrative approach to health and to help others explore supportive therapies that can complement traditional medical care.
I especially enjoy caring for kids, pre-teens, and moms-to-be. I believe healthcare should feel supportive, approachable.
Family, nature, and helping others live healthier lives are at the center of everything I do.
Cheyenne Moore
Office Assistant & Pet Specialist
Throughout my years working with pets, I began noticing a pattern. Many animals were struggling with chronic skin issues, recurring ear infections, digestive upset, anxiety, and other long-term health concerns. Pet owners were making frequent trips to the veterinarian, spending significant money, yet often finding only temporary relief. The root causes of these issues were rarely explored.
I saw firsthand how both pets and their owners were searching for lasting answers and a better quality of life.

This realization led me to begin my journey as a Holistic Pet Health Care Coach. My approach focuses on supporting the whole pet—physical, emotional, and mental well-being—through balanced nutrition, natural therapies, and personalized care. My goal is to help pet parents identify and address the root causes of health concerns rather than simply managing symptoms.
